I while back I blogged on my Rainbow Pattern as I knit up several pair of size Medium + and Large.
I've now turned my attention to size Medium in this pattern.
You know I knit my size Medium socks on the 54 needle cylinder, but for this pattern I used the 72 needle cylinder and sized the circumference down by using a mock rib.
The reason for this...I prefer the finer stitching on the thin stripes on the hemtop. I think they have a crisper, better defined look.
And since I was thinking about size Medium,
This is a pair of Knee Socks in my Rainbow Pattern. Also knit on the 72 needle cylinder but with the mock ribbing left out until the pre-heel and foot.
The sock yarn is all Lorna's Laces Shepherd Sock. The body is undyed, the heel and toe are Lorna's Rainbow colourway, and the 6 thin stripes on the hem tops are the 6 uni colours that makeup the Rainbow colourway.
